At our Georgetown campus, learning happens in the heart of a working homestead. Children explore gardens, care for farm animals, and dive into hands-on projects that spark curiosity, resilience, and problem-solving. Every day brings opportunities to connect with nature, form lasting friendships, and build practical life skills.
From the mud kitchen and sensory play gardens to the goat pasture and chicken coop, this is a place where learning feels like play — and every season brings something new to explore.

This review has been long overdue since we've been taking our toddler to ROOTS ever since their very first session. My 2YO daughter absolutely loves the ROOTS program and it provides a much-needed gap of traditional school in my opinion. The program is truly unique and the owners Talon and Travis and their team are all amazing. Highly recommend!

Our experience at ROOTS has been exceptional! The staff are truly invested in my children’s education and their growth as learners. Small class sizes and a creative out- of-the-box educational experience have enabled my children to thrive in an environment outside of a traditional classroom. While making friends, my children are also learning about nature, survival skills, animals, cooking, farming, independence, and so much more in a multisensory environment where they are encouraged to dig in and get dirty.

My 5 year old daughter has taken yoga classes with Miss Brooke and Miss Talon at ROOTS. The yoga is SO much more than “just” yoga. Through the ROOTS yoga program my daughter has learned so many new tools for emotional regulation. She has learned lessons in helping her community, being true to herself, and spreading kindness wherever she goes. I cannot thank ROOTS enough, especially Miss Talon, for giving my child a safe space to make friends and connect with herself through breath and movement. The things she has learned at ROOTS will make a positive impact in her life for years to come.

Our son is almost 2 and has been going for the last few months, and we love it! He loves talking about what he did outside that day. He especially loves the bunnies. We love that it’s an outdoors program that allows him to be curious about the outside in a safe manner, while learning basic life skills appropriate for his age!

My 7, 5, and 3 year old all attended the fall ROOTS session and it was an amazing experience for each one of them. The program adapts to all ages and the instructors are compassionate, knowledgeable, and kind. My three year old was hesitant at first but felt right at home after meeting our instructor Rhonda and all the kids looked forward to their class. They always came home with something special they made in class and many of the activities provided an extension of learning and activities we could do as a family at home. The program exceeded my expectations and allowed my kids to gain confidence with new experiences and learn skills that will benefit their futures.
